The open lower compartment design allows facility maintenance crews to easily sweep out grass, mud, and synthetic turf rubber infill pellets, or safely sanitize the units with harsh commercial cleaners without risking water damage.

Odor and bacteria mitigation are major concerns. The open lower compartment and dedicated shoe rack are structurally designed to maximize airflow and open ventilation.
