The FOREMAN® Surfboard Locker is open at the top. Boards stand on their tail inside the compartment and extend up through the opening, which means the locker's 84" height doesn't cap the board length — you can store up to 10'. The 24" depth is sized so a board sits in with its width running front to back, leaving the rest of the compartment free for a hanging wetsuit. Shortboards, fish, funboards, and longboards all store the same way.

The floor is a hollow rubber mat over a bottom panel drilled with eight drainage holes. Water coming off a suit or a board drains through the mat rather than pooling under it, so gear isn't sitting in a puddle and the locker floor isn't slowly rotting. It's the same principle as a shower grate, built into the locker.

It dries it. The open top and the perforated bottom panel create a passive chimney — air enters low, warms and rises through the compartment, and exits the top continuously, with no fan and no power required. The ventilated gap around the door adds cross-flow, and five 10mm holes can be added to the lower door panel for facilities that want more. A suit hung on the side hook sits in moving air the entire time it's in the locker, which is what stops the smell.

Salt is harder on storage than almost anything else in an athletic facility, which is why wood and painted metal fail so quickly near the beach. FOREMAN® Surfboard Lockers are built from 3/8" thick high pressure laminate with a 1/2" door on stainless steel five-knuckle hinges.
